This picture was taken in front of his "Family Wall", full of pictures of those who matter the most, Family. I was lucky enough to get fired and be able to make use of my time for a trip to visit Uncle D and his wife Marina. He had a beer as I sipped my soda in his garage, before and after the tour of his home. He had huge plans, a tri-level deck, as well as finishing his basement the way he envisioned it.
Having overcome adversity and judicial unjust, muh Uncle D was the most "straight talker" I've known. I had planned on a visit next week to see him, however it seems as though this trip to DC may be cut short, and when I see him next, that the conversation will be one sided. Family was the number one thing we talked about during our 3 hour conversation this last visit, and to hear him talk about the history of our people and family, was something that could keep me listening forever.
