With these solemn vows, in front of a moderate gathering of family and friends, we became husband and wife.
On this day,
I give you my heart,
My promise,
That I will walk with you,
Hand in hand,
Wherever our journey leads us,
Living, learning, loving,
Together,
Forever.
It all seemed surreal, the sights the sounds the people..
But when the moment came, the world evaporated...
We stood there, holding one anothers hands, repeating after the preacher
Yet we were alone.
The words rehearsed the night before, getting caught up in my throat..
Each word barely uttering, while holding back the tears
The rings blessed and exchanged, our unity candle lit,
A prayer said for the future.
We were pronounced, a kiss was given, before the world appeared
