DC at night

OK brief summary, since I am about to get back on the road and get towards the home state. It really saddens me to end my trip, however I have to see my kids!
This is "the Guy". I couldn't remember any of my history as I was in town, so I had generalities allotted for monuments. The pool, the big tall thingy, and the guy.

This is where I finally said to myself that I loved this town. It might have been too soon, because some of the sights were left to be seen. It was warm, but comfortable. I walked around this WWII memorial, thinking of days gone by.

If you can believe it, I actually took this one at like 11 at night, and think it speaks for itself.

The fountain that was so tempting to get in to.

The tall thingy.. And a reflection pool, according to the guy who was walking by. Like I might have not known before!

Hands on memorial. Can you believe, an American monument, and I'm TOUCHING it. I had actually asked a strange person to help me get a couple shots of me. I reached out!

one of the four shots of me in front of it, the only non-blurry one.
I shall go, now I have 15 minutes for a shower, gathering my gear and getting outta here.
Thanks for taking the time to read my blog, It was a humid and hot night, but well worth the exhaustion!
