Thought I'd throw that in a bit of redneckism for ya'all.
It's now Tuesday, and we take off Friday Mornin for hunt camp. Twas gonna be a smaller group of us this year, but now we've opened up the RSVP list and we're up a few more. Good deal, more people, more stories, more chances of getting something hopefully!
Goin to be towing up the travel trailer instead of roughing it this year also. First two days are supposed to be snowing with a high in the 30's and lows in the 20's so I do think it's best not to have to deal with roughin it. Gonna bring up the generator too so we can power up the TV and microwave/heaters and all that gear. Nothing says roughing it like watching DVD's all night eh? I do feel sorry for any poor sap who stumbles through our camp. From what I've heard so far, we'll be better armed than most police departments within a 100 mile radius. Kinda funny I suppose!
The rut should be just starting now, so maybe a good chance of gettin something during the 5 day trip up there, you know how them men are when the women are in heat. Whores! That along with a full moon tomorrow I think, should mean some activity during the early morning hours, and the spots we have picked out are pretty prime. Nice hikes to get there, so hopefully the snow will be soft so we don't spook everything before we get set up and all. We're arrivin the day before opening day, should have the trailer set up and ready and then go claim our spots and be able to scout the night before. Follow that with a campfire and drinks, and we'll be up by 4 to go get us the Monster Buck! One thing however, a Bear with horns, does this make him a Beer? I better google that crap!
Wish us luck while we brave the elements and rough it up there.. It could be devestating if we run out of coffee, or forget the coffee maker!
