It's been a while, but here I am again, bloggin to myself about things I did, however, I was there.. Why blog about it? Why not.. it's my page! :)
So in May I left the backstabbing of retail and a mentally unstable 'supervisor'. I've done the 'Independent Contracting' for moving travel trailers around the country.. Awesome job, however, I bought a Ford. I won't wish that mistake on anyone. 2004 Ford F250 Super Duty yada yada yada blah blah blah.. It's been in the shop more than it's been on the road it seems.. Cost me damn near what I've made (hopefully that will work out well in the taxes this year tho), and has shown me what it feels like to be broke down throughout the country. Finally it seems as though, knock on wood, it's running properly and should finally be good to go. Perfect timing for.... SNOW....
60,000 miles this summer, coast to coast, and border to border. I love to travel, and this has definately given me the chance to see the country and all of it's amazing things.. A day here in Florida, a day in Tahoe, weekend in Canada (brrr cold eh?) and many fun runs here in the mid west. I do have to say the west coast has the beauty, but Floridas water is where I belong! I've been able to take my kids during summer vacation with me, so they got to see the country as well.. They liked it.. :) well at least they said that they did.. My son, 14 now, is getting to the point where he finds pride in being 'helpful', and my daughter, turning 10 today, finds pride in pointing out odd looking things/people.. It makes for fun trips with a never ending view on the world. I've also been fortunate enough to be able to take my mom and her husband throughout the country, to places where they had never been, showing them the different landscapes and personalities that are out there.. Growing up, I always heard how my mother wanted to travel when she was older, and I don't see it happening any other way, so I am thankful for the opportunity to show her the lower 48'ish..
Thats about the extent of my adventure and ability to describe it as I try to figure out how to celebrate a 10th birthday.....
